I am both honored and excited to introduce myself as your new pastor here at JBC. My journey in ministry has been a remarkable one, beginning with my 11 years of service at Line Baptist Church in a small town named Foster, Rhode Island. There my deepest passion was to inspire worship of Christ with every aspect of our lives, giving Him all the glory. I want you to know that this passion remains steadfast as I join you at JBC. Together, we will continue to seek God's presence, grow in faith, and serve this wonderful community, always with the aim of bringing honor and glory to our Savior.

My personal journey with Jesus began on Wednesday, February 9, 1994, during a youth meeting in Niagara Falls, NY, where I fully placed my trust in Him as my Saviour. On Sunday, April 7, 1996, I underwent believers' baptism, publicly professing my faith. About Six and a half years later, on Tuesday, September 10, 2002, I received my calling to gospel ministry while I was driving to FedEx Trade Networks that day for work.  I remember very specifically having a heavy spirit. I began to pray and tell the Lord how much I believe in Him, and that I give my life to Him. As simple as it may seem, this was a very powerful moment that altered the course of my life completely. This led me to attend Bible College, where I had the incredible blessing of meeting my lovely wife, Leslie. God has seen it fit to bless us with four precious children. 

With a heart full of gratitude and anticipation, I look forward to walking this faith journey with you all, as we continue to uplift the name of Jesus and bring His love to our community.  I believe God has GREAT things in store for our church family.

For 31 years, the Monahans have ministered to Neapolitans from the Naples region in their church planting work, and to Italians from all over Italy in leadership training. Generally, the leaders they train are pastors, elders and deacons of local churches; however, missionaries from other agencies sometimes take the training. As of June 21, 2016, the Monahans have been involved in training young missionaries and ministering to people from some of the 60 unreached people groups in New York City.

Tim and Marcia have come full circle and are once again regular attenders at JBC.  JBC was the church family that sent them on the mission field to Napoli those many years ago. In fact, Tim and Marcia are charter members of JBC.  Early in 2023, Tim was asked, and graciously accepted, to be JBC's interim pastor.  It was a time in which JBC was experiencing a challenging transition.  In addition, JBC was also about 2+ years into our senior pastor search and getting weary.  Now that God has sent us a senior pastor in Pastor Charles, Tim is now using his God-given gifts in the role of Pastor of Leadership Development.
